Built in 1925 and classified as a monument, the GDM Megaron is located in the heart of Heraklion, overlooking the old Venetian port and within walking distance of all the major sights of the city. Excellent location, friendly and professional staff, comfortable rooms, and great views!
The breakfast was outstanding with numerous choices, depending on one's preference. Effie, at the front desk, was particularly professional, friendly, and helpful. We appreciate all the guidance she gave us during our time in Crete.

Exceptional
The breakfasts are rich and delicious. Every day they add new items, so it's never the same. The apple pie is amazing Every morning Eirini and Nikos made my day - always nice positive and smiling. In general the staff is outstanding. I took a room with a sea view, and it was totally worth it - the view is incredible.
